I can't get backtrack to work right with this card!

I use Atheros ar5b93 for my adapter. Running backtrack 4 on vmware player and I can't do basic things like run aircrack and other tools. I could not find my card on any lists of compatible/non-compatible cards and could not find a solution for it in a couple hours of searching. When i try to run aircrack ng it comes up blank in all fields. Any tips or a manual i may have missed? Thanks for your time!

Have you tried it on a live boot of BT4F?

What does it say when you type iwconfig in terminal?

I think vmware only supports USB adapters.

Any other programs that i could use to run bt4 that would work without the usb card?

Lets say i dont have a extra drive or usb storage. are there any program that that would allow me to run it like it was on a hardrive?
