The "root@bt: ~#" prompt indicates you are already logged in. Just type startx from there to start the GUI.
So for the longest time I've been hearing awesome things about Linux, recently used it a little at school (fedora).
Anyway, I read the how to install onto USB using Unetbootin. Followed all the steps, rebooted, and it seems to be working. Except I can't get into the GUI. I have the DOS looking cmd prompt instead, Step 6 tells me to login using username root and pass toor. So in the cmd it says root@bt: ~#, I type login [enter] type root [enter] type toor [enter] -> Invalid login. Soooo... am I missing something?

Capitalisation is important. It's the difference between "Helping your brother Jack off a horse" and "Helping your brother jack off a horse".

Hmmm, ok. Thank you.
Why do you have to do that though? Fedora and Ubuntu don't require you to type startx, they just hop right into the GUI.
