Hello,

i am just wondering if someone else is having stability issues with this settings. I am running Backtrack 4 final in a Vmware.
When Backtrack 4 has finished booting i connect the Alfa network adapter. Then i connect to a WPA secured network.
I do this with the wpa supplicant and the RTL8187 - MAC80211 modules. I set the txpower to 5 and the bit rate to auto.
I made the file wpa_supplicant.conf. Then i execute it with:
Code:
wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -D wext -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -B
to runnit.
After that i execute:
Code:
dhclient wlan0
to get an IP.
Somtimes it works perfectly but sometimes i have bad stability problems. This means that somtimes after a 2000 ping sequence to my own router i have packet loss of 1 % wich means no problems.
But somtimes i have after a 200 ping sequence a packet loss of 70% and also disconnects.
I tried various settings from txpower settings and so on till wicd...
I could not try the R8187 since this one wont connect to my wpa network.

So i am just wondering if anyone else has stability problems too.
