Hey all i'm new to all this and just have a few questions.
I'm running a HP Compaq 6735s with a Broadcom802.11b/g WLAN card.
Windows Platform : Windows Vista : Home Edition - Service Pack 2/ 32 Bit
(Included information i thought would be needed but please let me know if you need any more )
The problem i'm having is that i can't get Back Track to detect my wireless card.
Have tried various suggestions in order to detect/run/activate my wireless card but it still doesn't seem to detect anything or bring anything up when i have run airmon-ng command.
Think i may need to download a driver or something but not quite sure.
Could someone please give me some suggestions or if more information required could you please list me the commands to use and i will post appropriately.
Hey #mfBaranian#, tried what you said and managed to part resolve the issue.
Had to download BackTrack4 Pre-Install version so now when i goto WICD Mgr in the start menu it brings up my wireless connection .
Problem i now seem to have is i enable wicd networking in the console, but when i type ifconfig and iwconfig it only shows eth connections and no wlan connection. Also i seem to be getting an SI0CSIFADDR: No such device error and SYSFS Injection support not found.
I'm using the iso straight from cd and not using vmware ( incase this info is needed )
As before i'm using Broadcom802.11b/g WLAN wireless card.
Is there a fix round this, possibly some drivers that can be loaded to maybe resolve issue.
( Same issue in Ubuntu but i'll look into that one )
