    Default error while calling airodump-ng

    Hi Peeps,

In konsole i first use airmon-ng to check interface, this being wlan0...

i call the command "airodump-ng wlan0" to bring up any AP's in range.

the problem is that after running that command..... it doesn't state any AP's, instead it says: ERROR: no such device (and some errorcode , didn't write it down , but can if needed)

i dont think my WLAN-Card isn't usable.. i run a Dell latitude D830 with an intel(R) PRO/wireless 3945ABG networkconnection card with PCI enumerator.....

i checked a list, but this card wasn't among the other names, so i guess it hasn't been tested yet.

Is there a way to manually call the service that triggers the WLAN-card ?

    i run BT4 on a USB flash drive (8gb)

    Thx in advance

Hey hypothetically you may know this or not, but if I was testing a wireless system I would do:

    airmon-ng (check device (wlan0))
    airmon-ng stop wlan0
    ifconfig wlan0 down
    macchanger --mac 00:11:22:33:44:55 wlan0
    airmon-ng start wlan0

    now try airodump-ng wlan0

    What are the results?
