No Wireless Connection Found

Hi all,
Firstly, my apologies, I am a Linux newbe and am having some troubles getting a wireless connection.
I have installed BT4 to my harddrive and am now just trying to get the internet working over wireless.
I have run start-network and get both my wired and wireless cards listed, but when I go to Wicd Manager I get "No Wireless Connection Found".

My AP is very close so can't be signal strength.
Eth0 is my wired nic which gets dhcp
Eth1 is my intel wireless card, which I have set as such within wicd manager.
Out of interest I have a BT2 boot CD and the wireless works fine with that! So I believe that there are ipw2100 drivers for linux.
I know that there was a "disable radio" option in BT2 which would make the scanner appear as though there was no wireless networks available. Is there a similar concept in BT4?
Am I missing something simple? I have posted the result of a ifconfig and lspci below.

run iwconfig to see if the wifi card is recognized at all.If yes then get it working and try scanning from terminal.

zomg, well since this is a pentesting suite it comes with the network interfaces all in the off position, so either run the script or or enable networking using the convenient tab in the services menu. you can also try the iwlist interface scan command, where interface is whatever is running try eth1 first, or wlan0.see if your interfaces come up, i have seen a couple devices not come up, you can check to see if anyone else has tested your interfaces with bt4 by visiting the BT HCL thats the hardware compatablilty list. find it here:

Every time my wi-fi card start in off position. So i had to type

ifconfig wlan0 up

to startup wi-fi interface.
Than start wicd network manager to insert wpa key.
