Low #Datas on chopchop attack

Hi to all.

I'm trying to attack a THOMSON TCW710 AP without connected client in it. It has a 64 bit WEP key 'AAAAA' (very easy) to test this type of attack because it's new to me.

At first I couldn't get the .xor file because I was getting "no acks..." message, I solved that placing the laptop in another room. Now I succesfully am injecting packets on the router, getting a gazillion beacon packets, unfortunatelly the data packets are very very slow, maybe 2-3 every 3 seconds.

Is this normal? I have heard usually this attack is faster.

elgato - perhaps you selected an inappropriate packet to replay (i.e, replay packet was too short, etc.).

Have you tried the -p 0841 method? This will allow you to inject any packet to the AP to generate IVs.

Also, not every AP is suceptible to the KoreK chopchop attack and you'll have to do some research to learn if the Thompson TCW710 is one of those.

OK, hypervista I will do that. For the record I have researched google for THOMSON 710 +chopchop and after polishing the search a bit I didn't find any web about the issue. I will try the -p mode and tell you tomorrow.

I really thought this was a little easier, but in comparission with other stuff in computing I think this is easier.
