    I ran
    Code:
     /etc/init.d/wicd start
opened the wireless network manager and was able to connect to my wireless just fine. Do you have any errors you may be getting that you can post, or any other information that may help on getting you connected to wireless?

well, I upgraded my wireless card to an intel card I can't stand the dell wireless cards. Overall for injection purposes I use my Alpha usb adapter or a atheros chipset card. I suggest to upgrade from the standard dell internal adapter.

Sorry I did not include this in my original post.
