    Default unable to mount anything in backtrack

    Hello all
    every time i try to mount using
    mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda
    i get a /dev/sda1 cannot be found in /etc/fstab
    however /dev/sda1 is listed by fdisk -l
    any advice?
