    Default network disabled? any advice please

    Hello all
    i am trying out the new BT4 release and cannot get it to connect or see any network connections on 2 pcs that i have tried.
    one is a toshiba lappy with PRO/wireless 2200B
    and the other is a desktop with a built in ethernet card.
    when i do lshw in konsole i get:

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    Code:
    ifconfig -a
    The comand above should show your wireless interface name.

    ifconfig-a gives
    eth0
    eth1
    and lo

    i have checked that the wireless button is on

    What's your "ifconfig eth1 up" output? How are you booting BT4?

    booting from a usb stick
    however i found the problem, my wirless card is broken :-(
    it works on another laptop fine as in i can use airodump etc,
    how do i configure it to go online though?
