    Default not being assigned an ip address

    When I try to manually connect to my network all goes well up until
    The dhcpcd command.
    I never get a ip address assigned. Any idea why this is?

    Try:

    dhclient wlan0

    Do you have DHCP enabled in your network?
    Google is your best friend :D
