    Default 16db yagi antenna

I have seen a 16db yagi antenne on ebay and am contemplating buying it.
I am also contemplating a 6 metre pigtail to connect it to my awus036h.
My question is would I lose much signal strength with the 6 metre pigtail?
Also would I see much of an increase with this antenna over my 5db omni
    Antenna?

That really depends upon what kind of cable the pigtail is made of. Not all cable has the same amount of loss/foot.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Not too sure what cable it is but it only cost £1.00.
Now are these yagi antennas really as good as some people make out?

Antenna might be good, but 6M of cheap cable is going to make it pretty useless.

The antenna comes with 5meters of cable attached anyway so ill have to try it with
    And without the extension.
Would having the antenna mounted on the same mast as my tv antenna have a
Detrimental effect to my wifi range?

I prefer a Biquad + dish - it's almost 20 bdi! and you can make it yourself easily.

Depends, what are you trying to accomplish?

I'm trying to network my farm. I would like to place a pc in my lambing shed
And upload live video to a public viewing site.
In order to do this I need to be able to get to pc to connect to my access
Point which is about half a mile away. I have a 5dbi omni on my access point
And am going to attach the yagi to the roof of the shed pointing at my house.
The pigtail is made from lmr400. Should I be able to acheive this range?

I built a directional wifi antenna a year ago, and the first cable i bought for as cheap as possible had horrible range and hardly picked up my house's wifi. (probabaly was defective now that i think about it). I Then bought a "higher dollar" pigtail and I the signal strength was much improved. Hope this helps...
