You'll need to grab a firmware from this website:
    p54 - Linux Wireless

It is clearly noted on the page: read carefully, its right above where you download the firmware for the device. There's a few things you have to do:

    1) ifconfig interface down. Remove dongle, and remove p54 and its related modules.
    2) Place the firmware in the correct directory as mentioned on that page.
    3) Rename the filename of the firmware to whatever the filename required on the same page
    4) Plug the device in and check dmesg

Sory, but i still have no solution for my problem ((

    1) ifconfig interface down. Remove dongle, and remove p54 and its related modules.

    2) Place the firmware in the correct directory as mentioned on that page.
-- i put the firmware in this place /lib/firmware/

    3) Rename the filename of the firmware to whatever the filename required on the same page
-- i renamed the file of the firmware to isl3886usb
    but still the same problems

    Code:
    usb 1-1: (p54usb) cannot find firmware (isl3886usb)
    usb 1-1: firmware: requesting isl3890usb
    phy0: p54 detected a LM86 firmware
    phy0: FW rev 2.4.3.7 - Softmac protocol 0.1
phy0: you are using an obsolete firmware. visit hxxp://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/p54 and grab one for "kernel >= 2.6.28"!
    phy0: cryptographic accelerator WEP:YES, TKIP:YES, CCMP:no
    phy0: device does not respond!
p54usb: probe of 1-1:1.0 failed with error -16
usbcore: registered new interface driver p54usb
    NET: Registered protocol family 10
    lo: Disabled Privacy Extensions
usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 2
usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
    usb 1-1: firmware: requesting isl3886usb
    usb 1-1: (p54usb) cannot find firmware (isl3886usb)
    usb 1-1: firmware: requesting isl3890usb
p54usb: probe of 1-1:1.0 failed with error -2
What can i do with that?

It said clearly what is wrong in that dmesg output:
phy0: you are using an obsolete firmware. visit hxxp://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/p54 and grab one for "kernel >= 2.6.28"!

Yes i see this information, but what i have to do?
I download a file from hxxp://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/p54 and i renamed it as isl3886usb and after that i put this file in /lib/firmware/ but dmesg writing to me the same errors

    usb 1-1: firmware: requesting isl3886usb
    usb 1-1: (p54usb) cannot find firmware (isl3886usb)

i do restart and after restart my file isl3886usb in /lib/firmware/ is gone
    i can't fint it anymore ((
What i can do? I also want put this file in /rofs/lib/firmware/ but i have no permission for that ((

Can you see there is a table at the driver's site? Can you see how it says `for 2.6.29 kernels and above: ' and then it has 4 different downloads, these are for each various device interface. Download all four of them and rename them as according to the site for required filename after placing them in /lib/firmware.

If you burnt backtrack onto dvd or used unetbootin to put it onto USB. Changes made there will not be saved, did you realise that and hence why you don't have permission to put the file into a read only file system which is normally compressed? This is the very same scenario as rebooting on a read only filesystem regardless of the changes you have made.
