There is no such thing as bad information - There is truth in the data, so you sift it all, even the crap stuff.

Hey Guys!
I am in a similar situation & am a total noob. I have located the drivers necessary to run the Ralink 3090 here: h**ps://launchpad.net/~markus-tisoft/+archive/rt3090/+packages
I downloaded:
* rt3090-dkms_2.1.0.1-0ubuntu0~ppa1_all.deb (703.4 KiB)
* rt3090_2.1.0.1-0ubuntu0~ppa1.diff.gz (4.7 KiB)
* rt3090_2.1.0.1-0ubuntu0~ppa1.dsc (1.1 KiB)
* rt3090_2.1.0.1.orig.tar.gz (701.4 KiB)
I placed these files onto a usb stick and transferred them to my MSI 320X laptop running BT4 Final installed to my hard drive. I had to do it this way - because the laptop does not currently have internet access.
I am hoping some one with more experience can now direct me how to install these drivers. I am a linix noob. I am not even sure which of those files I actuall need to get my wireless card up and running. I had read someting about using Modprobe -i to install... But Help please
Thanks so much guys!
Humm - anyone have any advice for a lonesome noob like myself?
You install the deb file, the rest are optional or for compiling. Also I suggest you to see if the kernel specified on the site matches bt, because if it doesn't you won't be able to install it correctly which also means you're back to square on.
Contrary to all that I do believe there's a rt30*sta driver in the repo. Check it first.
