Simple, don't allow open shares. Also how would one prevent the open shares from being used.
Hi guys,
Im new here, and new to linux. I started about a half a month ago and I love it. Basically i have been toying around with Backtrack and ran across a video on the forums about SMB relay attack. In the video the attacker was able to gain access into the victims hard drive and place and execute files. Are there any tutorials on how to do this? Also how would one prevent the open shares from being used.
Also this is not going to be used on someone else. Im learning exploits so that when (if ) I become an IT network administrator its one more thing that I can prevent others from doing on my network.
Anyways Love the forums and everything and thanks.

I'm a compulsive post editor, you might wanna wait until my post has been online for 5-10 mins before quoting it as it will likely change.
I know I seem harsh in some of my replies. SORRY! But if you're doing something illegal or posting something that seems to be obvious BS I'm going to call you on it.
