    Default How Can I install bt4 in external hardisk ?

    Hi all ...

    i tried copy bt4 files to external hardisk

    but it's not working when i chose boot from usb

    is there an other way ?

    and can i run os from any pc without boot problems ?

    My system : Windows

    It's not enough. You need to install the distro to the external HDD, not just copy files to it. Then set your bios to boot from external USB HDD, if supported.
    I have the card in me head, but you have the memory problems?

    i did that , but still the same problem ..

    in my external hardisk 2 partions how can i choose one of them ?

    i choosed MENUAL when installing bt4

    then it apear to me my external hardisk and 2 pations on

    what the settings i have to do .. to take one of them for bt4 ?

    ( update )

    when i choose MENUAL settings for partition

    it's appear to me

    My Hardisk WD 500 GB

    /dev/sdb

    i maked 3 patitions from my hardisk

    now it's like that


    - /dev/sdb
    -- /dev/sdb1 SWAP AREA
    -- /dev/sdb2 ext3 for root files
    -- /dev/sdb3 NTFS for my files

    then i chose install ..

    and i choose advanced to check bootloader options

    i choose to install the bootloader on /dev/sdb2

    because i want to open backtrack4 from the external hardisk at any pc

    and it finish fine

    i did reboot and closed cd live

    then from boot menu i choose

    boot from

    USB-HDD

    but it didn't work .... it just open my system !!

    so what's the problem you think ?
