I'm not an expert on this matter, but I do have some insight.
WPA/WPA2 cracking is the same if you need the pre-shared key. Thats only if you're doing a dictionary attack. There is another method but it involves alot of luck. (making a rogue access point with the same name and collecting the key with it, I've never done it successfully)
TKIP vulnerablity gets the MIC it cannot get the PSK.
