    Default Ettercap and wpa

Is there any way to use ettercap on wpa protected networks to sniff for passwords?

Yes, use it the same way you would use on WEP protected networks. Kinda obvious...

    From ettercap --help:
-W, --wep-key <wkey> use this wep key to decrypt wifi packets
It asks for a wep key, not a wpa one. Just connect to the network and use ettercap normally.

Thank you very much. It worked for me without setting WPA encryption key.
