This lame attemp earns you an "F" for the whole year.

You should have done a little more research, there is plenty info around on this forum and there are also nearly as many teachers assignments to break into machines.

There's schools that teach the A+ stuff?

    I hope it's free.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

I like the "Getting a good grade" story almost as much as I like the "Bet with the Neighbor" one. It's always amusing to hear people tell these like they are the first ones to have come up with that story...

I made a bet with my neighbor that I could hack his wireless to get through to my teacher's PC to get an A.

I made the same bet! What a coincidence.

I agree. But still not as good as getting outwitted by granny.

Actually even if it is free I would be complaining that the task above has nothing to do with basic computer repair.

Yeah the granny story probably deserves the fail bus post of the year award.

Wait for teacher to leave classroom, quickly boot the box from a usb or cd distro, mount the hdd and create your file...

That is of course if the box is not locked in granny's room...
Or if granny, i mean teacher does not have an encrypted drive.

Yes, I liked the Granny story as well. It wasn't any more believable than the "Neighbor Bet" or "Good Grade" stories, but at least it was unique.
