Default Problem with network starting in VMware....

I created a vm of BT4 but I have to type "/etc/init.d/networking start" in a command console after each start before networking will work.

I am using bridged mode in VMware. Have I missed something or is this a bug?

    Code:
    update-rc.d networking defaults
