Question N00b help, aircrack-ng Cannot execute binary file

I have a Samsung N310, which has the right wireless card, etc. No DVD drive though, so I boot off a 2 GB flash drive.

I'm following this guide (because I know absolutely nothing) hxxp://doubleu doubleudoubleu(dot)hackforums(dot)n e t/showthread(dot)php?tid=52540 (fix the link to visit it please) Everything goes fine until I get to

    aircrack-ng -b (bssid) (filename)-01.cap
When I enter this, I get:
bash: /usr/local/bin/aircrack-ng: cannot execute binary file
So I'm like and I decided that, after not finding anything on these forums or google, I'd post my question.

I need simple answers, so no terms that are likely to be unfamiliar! Thanks

Statements like this are generally obvious and are not really needed nor helpful.

Simple answer = search, because it has been answered.

Go back to skidforums.net .. we dont want or need any part of this around here.
Using backtrack for the first time is like being 10 years old again with the keys to a Ferrari.

    Default Well...

Think about it logically, your not going to be able to create a <filename>.cap file if your not allowed to write. Look at the way your using BackTrack, hope this helps.
