Default Help| VmWare UnDetected PCi/UsB Wireless adapters

Hi, first of all iam new on this forum so i dont know if iam writing on the correct forum.

    To the subject,
i have pci wireless card: Edimax EW-7128g PCI
i burn backtrack on CD and everything works fine... i was able to crack my nighboor wireless...
But when i Try use VmWare, when i use the command on the shell :"airmon-ng"
    theres no interface...
i went into the backTrack options: edit->virtual network setting-> host virtual network setting and put on VMnet0 my WireLess name...
i load backTrack and woop theres no interface :/ i tried either with my USB adapter and theres no connection between the adapters and the VmWare...
    How Should i Fix this?

    Thanks Menny.

You can't use a PCI wireless card with backtrack running on VM, Backtrack will view it as an ethernet card so you need to use a USB wireless NIC.

To enable the USB wireless with VM, when backtrack is powered up, go to VM > Removable devices > to your wireless > connect.

I use the Edimax USB device with my backtrack VM and it works like a treat!! Crack WEP easily done.

Cracking wireless which does not belong to you is very bad and every time you do it, Chuck Norris kicks a Mexican Baby in the face.
