Problems with kbfx

First of, as I'm new, i just want to say hi to everybody.
Hi to everybody!

... Now that's done i have a question (well actually i have a bunch, but i will stick with this one for now):
When i add kbfx to kicker it first crashes. if i try to add it a second time it completely vanishes.
so... Do you have an idea of what's causing this problem, and possibly know of a solution?

If you need any more info please ask.

I'm totally new with backtrack, and still a little green on linux. I do have some experience though.

Can you add anything to the kicker and have it work or just this one application? Do you receive any sort of error messages? Check the logs as well.
Have you checked the documentation for kbfx? Might also be a good idea to look over at the ubuntu forums as well.

Well... the crash handler just says "signal 11 (SIGSEGV)", but I can post the backtrace if that can be to any use?

Also the terminal gives me this when it crashes:

Sorry for double posting but my thread is vanishing into the eternal oblivion of "page 2", and I still didn't get an answer.

Well... It isn't really that important, as i just wanted to "pimp" my desktop a little bit, but it would still be nice if you could help me out

Generally if someone knows the answer or has info they will make a post here.
Given that it is the weekend you might have to wait until Monday.
In the meantime what have you done to help resolve the issue?

well first of, of cause, I tried google and the search feature of the forum, but it seemed that no one have had a the same problem.
secondly i tried to take a look at the backtrace and make some sence of it, in which i failed.
and then of cause I tried to google the error (11 "SIGSEGV), but that didn't lead me any closer to a solution either.
I also tried to go to the kbfx homepage and look around for any info that could help, but I didn't find anything.

from there i didn't really know what else to do, so i posted this thread.

please don't think I didn't try, because I really did, but as said: Im still a little green with linux :/

and i will wait and see if anyone replies... If not i guess ill just leave it.
it is just looks after all... not very important.

EDIT: Lol... i just realized that i forgot to try and reinstall kbfx -.-'
it might solve it.
i'll try it out. still open for other suggestions though
