here is a situation.
i have not paid my bills to my ISP, so they have disabled my account.
Now, whenever i enable my ethernet (eth0), my ISP give a dynamic IP and
gets me coonected to the internet.
But, whenever i try to open some page in the browser, it redirects me to
my ISP's login page (its a .jps page). Actually my ISP uses a jsp
web-application for authentication. no other authentication is required to
login. i guess my ISP's web-app is quite strong to hack :-(
i am a user of BT4(backtrack 4). inspite of NOT logging in to my ISP,
i can use nmap to map the network! i can see open ports of the other
computers in the internet. even i can use metasploit against them!
but i can't ping google from the terminal.
what i think is that some kind of firewall is blocking my http traffic.
so i tried to connect to IRC-chat. even that failed..
i cant check ftp coz i dont have any friend to check connectivity.
and i also cant use the port tunnel coz i dont have two computers..
and using wireshark, i can see all the ARP, TCP etc. traffic. but cant
see any http or dns traffic.
plz help guys.. thanks!!
