Post backtrack 4 vmware with belking usb F5D8055ed

Hello all im new to Backtrack 4 i have been doing a lot of research online on possible problems but im at a dead end so i decided to make a post my configuration is as follows:

    windows vista

    VMWARE :7.0

    backtrack 4.0

I got backtrack installed and running but i just cant get my belking usb key to work or to be recognised by backtrack 4

i have removed bridged connection in vmware to no avail.

The belking key is connected to vmware at the bottom of the screen.

iwconfig gives me the following results:
    lo : no wireless extensions
    eth0: no wireless extensions

i have tried wlan0 up etc with no luck

my virtual network editor settings at the moment are host only from the time i removed the bridged connection.

I have spent a while looking on google but with no luck so any help will be most welcome.

p.s the usb key works in windows
