Has anyone read this? The book is expensive as heck, but with the book and a DVD containing BT, Herot live CDs and a bunch of other thing, i have a good feeling about it.

Thomas AKA Grendal is the man responsible for bringing us the De-ice/herot.net discs and as I have heard is a extremely knowledgeable fellow. He has written lots of stuff and have spoken at many cons. I would recommend his book with out even reading it.

A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
Buy the book.
There is also an article in the hakin9 magazine (issue 807) from maybe two years ago by Thomas Wilhelm that contains a lot of good info on creating the de-ice series of disks.

added to my amazon wishlist. the reviews are stellar. I poked around and found it used for 50 bucks.... the source is a little shady however.... amazon has it used for 60 new from $70....
