    Arrow startx no screens found

So i'm pretty new to linux and BT4

i burned the livecd iso and i'm running it on my thinkpad t400

when i startx it gives me a fatal server error: no screens found

    i tried dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

went through the setup and then ran startx -forcevesa but no avail

so my question is, how do i fix it

i tried the 1024x723 , 800x600 and safe graphic mode from the startup items (its called grep iirc, not sure on that one)

i cant even choose VESA mode from the startup choices

    anything i'm doing wrong?

(i did searching, but none of the results worked for me)
