    Default Little help with atheros

    Hallo!!

    I have an acer aspire 9110. It has an onboard wireless card and i add it one more with an atheros chipset . Its Dlink DWL-G650.

    I search in the site that you suggest for drivers and i found that my card works with madwifi in linux. I forgot to say that i use backtrack 4. Ok.. I download the madwifi and going to install it by typing make. And this is my result :

    Code:
    root@laptop:~/madwifi-0.9.4# make install
    sh scripts/find-madwifi-modules.sh 2.6.29.4
    for i in ath/ ath_hal/ ath_rate/ net80211/; do \
                    make -C $i install || exit 1; \
            done
    make[1]: Entering directory `/root/madwifi-0.9.4/ath'
    test -d //lib/modules/2.6.29.4/net || mkdir -p //lib/modules/2.6.29.4/net
    install ath_pci.ko //lib/modules/2.6.29.4/net
    install: cannot stat `ath_pci.ko': No such file or directory
    make[1]: *** [install] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/madwifi-0.9.4/ath'
    make: *** [install-modules] Error 1
    I search a little in google but...didnt find something helpfull . and because im new i thought to ask here.

    Now here is the result of lspci for my card.

    07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

    and here is the result of ifconfig -a command

    Code:

    As you can see the dlink card doesnt be here. wlan0 is the onboard wireless card..

    Thats all .

    have you any idea on how to make this card with atheros cipset works ?

    Thanks in advance!!
