update-initramfs is disabled since running on a live CD work around?
How are you all getting around this?
Just to clarify i have bt4 installed to hdd.
I have since got around this problem by compiling everything from source and rebooting instead of using "update-initramfs" but i would like "update-initramfs" too work with apt-get as it should. So i am still searching for an answer. I have seen other posts about this problem for people using different distros concerning linking files like so
hXXps://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/292159
mv /usr/sbin/update-initramfs /usr/sbin/update-initramfs.old
ln -s /rofs/usr/sbin/update-initramfs /usr/sbin/update-initramfs
Is there anyway to modify the above to work with backtrack? Or any other work around for this problem?
