Did you try "sudo su"-ing?
Then, ifconfig eth0 up?
Or, even just logging into root and going from there?
Lastly, tried "sudo ifconfig eth0 up"?

I am feeling mighty dumb right now.
When I try: ifconfig eth0 up
I am getting permission denied.
I tried the password I assigned to me as user as well as toor with no luck!
Help!!!

Lol you might get banned or have your post put in the idiots center but I'll help
First of all run
Second of all if your running it off a live cd then you are already running as root and don't need to sudo anything.Code:sudo ifconfig eth0 up
Third of all if it's installed on your hard drive the password is your login password not toor..
One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching.
Oh yes, that reminds me. The Search function on this board does work, I suggest using it next time![]()
Google : "Backtrack bring eth up" | "backtrack internet" (be creative)
