    Default Little Introduction

As everybody knows: The first impression is the hardest and most important.
Therefor I want to post 2 things:
    The first:
After some time reading on this forum as a guest I made the decision to register myself.
Hopefully to help other and myself with obtaining knowledge about security issues.
As some would (hopefully) understand, i am not keen to submit information about my personal life but I am keen to sharing knowledge and experience from it with other people.
I can find myself in the phrase "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear"
In my opinion, To many talk, to few really listen..

    The second:
After reading various pieces of information about BT4 on the forum and on other locations I was as everybody who is into wireless security looking for a good usb adapter (running vmware atm).
I didn't want to ask for it on the forum but instead i wanted to add one to the list of working adapters.
I searched the forum but it didn't find the type.
The USB-adapter I am referring to is the Eminent EM4454.
This one cost about €24,95 (*1,5 for dollar i guess)
More specifications will follow after testing but here are the first:
    - Works right out of the box
    - Can be put in monitor and managed mode
    - Was able to make a connection to my own router in the following security settings: WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK. (WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK with pw provided inside my word list of course)
I am willing to test the adapter for further usage and share the outcome of the tests.

    technical specifications:
    Interface: USB 2.0
    Antenna: Internal Intellective Antenna
    Wireless standards: IEEE 802.11b/IEEE 802.11g
    Frequency: 2.4 ~ 2.4835GHz
Media Access Protocol: CSMA/CA with ACK
    Transmit power: 17dBm
    Security : WPA/WPA2, 64/128/152 BIT WEP, TKIP/AES
    Dimensions: 80 x 27 x 10 mm

Nice info, but it would be really useful if you were to include the chipset details as well. In most cases the chipset info is the most important info.

    Appears to be Ralink.
Drivers for linux are Ralink rt73.o

Someone correct me if that is incorrect intel.
    Will search more info tomorrow.

After turning down my music i must say.

syntax error near unexpected token `|'
Cheers and welcome to the forum

If you haven't done so yet, start doing injection tests and the like as thats what most people care about. Also if you can change the mtu, any noticeable packet loss etc..

If you do a decent report on it im pretty sure they would throw it in the wiki. Anyways enjoy your stay.
Using backtrack for the first time is like being 10 years old again with the keys to a Ferrari.

    Injection is working!

Haven't got a lot of time for extended testing a.t.m. but I thought this would define the answer to the "can it inject" question.
