I'm having file sharing issues between Windows 7 and Back|Track. My primary O.S. is Back|Track pf4 dual boot with W7 also; but im trying share some files between my wife's W7 pc.
can someone enlighten me
F.Y.I. Im the owner of the network also I know each of my pc's share password. just in case
that's my case im trying to boot into W7 to snapshot from there
Open up Konqueror (that's the file manager program). In the address bar, type the following:
(Replace the IP address above with the IP address of the machine hosting the file shares).Code:smb://192.168.0.4/
There's also a way of mounting an MS-Windows file share into the Linux filesystem. You use the "mount" program to achieve this. For details, type the following at the command line "man mount".
Thanks for your fast and help-full replay's
but I've try both the
but no luck!!! as I said I have the password of each Homegroup user'sVirchanza
and when I type it doesn't recognize it
If its sharing between network, cant you get a Lan Messenger and use it to send files between you two ?
I've used it before, and its quite fast.
