    Default Network not working

    I am newbie to backtrack.

    I am running it in vmware workstation 6 using live CD.

    Vmware created following network connections on windows machine :
    vmnet1 : IPv4 : 192.168.52.1
    vmnet8 : IPv4 : 192.168.22.1

    Using netconfig command in backtrack 3 i configured static IP to 192.168.22.2

    But its not working..even pinging 192.168.22.1 not working


    Please help !

    What the IP of the Windows machine? Are you running the vmware adapter in bridged mode or have you done any other changes?
