Is there any tool in Backtrack that i can sniff msn conversations in my local network?
The first link is down and the second give;s me only windows solutions
You can use wireshark, search on it, you'll get answers. There's also another tool, it was already mentioned in this forums. Use the search function.
Ok i found how to do it using wireshark but the interface is not so easy to read every message so i found msn shadow that seems to be what i want.
I hope this to be the best solution...
msn shadow is useless it sniffs only local chat and not remote users in the network.
Maybe if you had some knowledge on network basics you would know why doesn't it work. Be aware that you can get to jail if you're illicitly sniffing other people conversations.
I know why it doesn't work and i know about jail.
I am looking for a solution as i just test it on my network with my brother and my wife i think i am safe from jail
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
I am talking about my brother
Anyway thank you for your advice.
