    Question Sniffing msn in local network

    Hello

    Is there any tool in Backtrack that i can sniff msn conversations in my local network?

    What did your research tell you? By the looks of it you didn't research anything.

    You can use wireshark, search on it, you'll get answers. There's also another tool, it was already mentioned in this forums. Use the search function.

    Ok i found how to do it using wireshark but the interface is not so easy to read every message so i found msn shadow that seems to be what i want.

    I hope this to be the best solution...

    EDIT:

    msn shadow is useless it sniffs only local chat and not remote users in the network.

    Maybe if you had some knowledge on network basics you would know why doesn't it work. Be aware that you can get to jail if you're illicitly sniffing other people conversations.

    I know why it doesn't work and i know about jail.

    I am looking for a solution as i just test it on my network with my brother and my wife i think i am safe from jail

    You think so? Capturing someone else's conversations whether they be telephone, or IM can quickly run afoul of wiretapping laws.
