    Default Help Me learn to mount hada*/sda*

    hey there, ive been readin lots of threads and dont need to post offen...
    i need a replay about this:
    how can i mount the hd (vista, ubuntu) in backtrack? i have backtrack 4 pre f installed on the hd (vista, ubuntu, backtrack 4 pre final).
    tryed mount/dev/hda1,2,3 mnt/hda 1,2,3
    and it dont work

    You also missed the one that stated to use sensible titles in your threads.
    Re-read the rules you agreed to.

    After you get done with that have a look at
    #man mount
    Generally the command would look something like

    # mount /dev/sda
    To be successful here you should read all of the following.

    If you are new to Back|Track

    Failure to do so will probably get your threads deleted or worse.

    fdisk -l should tell you what drives are available

    mount /dev/hdx1 /mnt would mount partition 1 on drive hda to the folder /mnt, provided the partition's filesystem is supported
