BackTrack 3 Final - Internet access situation.

Hi guys.

I installed BackTrack 3 Final (USB version) couple of days ago, i since then haven`t resolved my internet access problem.

I`m using cable-modem connection (Scientific Atlanta) which works normally in Windows Xp. BTrack doesn`t seem to recognise my modem. ifconfig ethX up doesn`t seem to do the trick. I also tried the netconfig setup which didn`t help either.

I have been googling the problem for a few days without any luck.

I`m not sure if i provided enough info. If so please tell me what other info do you require.

Any help will be appreciated.

Might want to consider upgrading to BT4 since it is better, etc.
It might be a good idea to post the info on your ethernet card.
More than likely it is supported though.
As far as finding info here on the forums look into the BT3 tutorial section and here for more info.

I guess i`ll "upgrade" then. Can the version 4 be booted from a usb?
