I haven't been using BT4 for too long, Ive finally got the ubiquity installer to work and my Toshiba NB-205 is running fine, both network interfaces work, my Atheros card is supported for both monitor mode and for injecting, however I was looking through the WICD manager in the Preferences and notice the drop down box beside the WPA-Supplicant Driver.

It has the options of choosing madwifi, wext, hostap, atmel, ndiswrapper, ipw, and ralink legacy.

So far everything works fine using wext for penetration testing, but I didnt know if anyone suggests maybe using madwifi for better/faster results or have any opinions etc. Thanks for you input.
