    Default bt4-beta-vmware image apt-get upates

I am trying to setup an installation of backtrack4 in vwmare and I am having issues with apt-get updating packages.

When I run apt-get update followed by apt-get upgrade the new packages are installed. The issue comes in that all the menu links are now broken and when I reboot and startx again it boots into the fvm checker screen. Am I missing a step to properly upgrade?

Would this have anything to do with bt4 use of kde3 vs. kde4?

    Try this.

And some more text to get over the minimum post length....
Capitalisation is important. It's the difference between "Helping your brother Jack off a horse" and "Helping your brother jack off a horse".
