problem with monitor

i have bt3 and works cool

but i boot bt4 and write:

startx

and nothing happend, i have a samsumg SyncMaster 943NWX monitor

please someone know what can i do?

check the all cable of monitor. but you told that monitor no result after startx type. that's mean your monitor ok.
again type startx and press enter
not work then you had better reinstall .
