    Unhappy No Interfaces

    Ok so where am I going wrong? Iím running BT4 on VMware with my Intel 4965AGN bridged , works on the host but not the guest. airmon says there are no interfaces. Itís going to be something simple isnít it?

    I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but I know that with quite a few of the tools I've used on Back Track, it gives errors about no interfaces found if you are not root. Ettercap does this. Run "ettercap --gtk" and try to select an interface and it'll be an empty list. Run "sudo ettercap --gtk" and all of your network cards will be there.

    Just like the other ten thousand wifi questions with virtual machines, only usb wifi devices will work with them. Built in pci, minipci, pcmcia, isa wifi cards will only show as a wired network connection to the virtual machine.
