signal level reporting

Hello everyone,
I was trying to crack my own wlan using aircrack and i kept getting a PWR -44. Now from what i ve read -44 is not enough and it means that the driver doesn't support signal level reporting.the chipset is atheros ...does this mean that i have to change the driver?I did search the forum but nothing came up.any help would be appreciated.

There is no need to worry as this is the problem regarding the drivers,which is reporting wrong signal level.I get -90,-80 using my Alfa card even i m very near to my AP.
