When i use 'ifconfig' all i get is the loopback interface. I may not be doing a certain step, but i figured that this would be a good way to find out.

This is a network card, btw.

Thank the spammers who registers and posts crap all over the forum. Have you also tried upgrading the kernel to 2.6.30.5? The driver is probably included in kernel source but was never set to be built. Either that or maybe its blacklisted.
