problem:install backtrack3 final

When you run the backtrack3 from the DVD show message include
Fatal server error :
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0

giving up
xinit: Connection reset by peer (errno 104): unable to connect to x server

xinit : No such process (errno 3 ): Server error

Highlighted above in red is the problem, two things come to mind one either upgrade to bt4 which is better and more secure (among other things).
Or start looking into how to configure the xserver. There are several billion threads on how to do it in the 3 tutorial section. Not to mention the slackbook will tell you more info on how to do it.
You will need your monitor information in order to proceed.
