ew-7711uan Vmware and backtrack 4

Hello, I have an edimax EW-7711uan card

I have read it will work on BT4 so i downloaded the VMware image and the latets vmware 6.5.0 i think?

I can boot up in BT4 no problem what i cant do is get my usb wireless to work.

In VMware i click VM>>>>Removable devices>>>802.11wlan and click connect now that disconnects my internet on xp. what else do i need to do to get BT4 to recognize the usb wireless adapter?

Do i need to install the driver? it;s one of these chipsets RT2500/RT2570


I had a edimax 7318 which worked straight out of the box in BT3 but for some reason is decided to stop finding wireless networks :S

How many wireless devices do you have on your computer? Is it a laptop or desktop? Anyway, try following this tutorial:

I saw 2 different info on Google regarding this device chipset, RT2500/RT2570 and RT2870. Try using these words + chipset on google, maybe that will give some tutorial.
