wiki.remote-exploit.org uses an invalid security certificate ????
Is the backtrack 4 wiki safe to Load ??????
before someone jumps on me I already searched the forum with the subject line and got way way to manny threads to go through to find the answer by just reading the threads.
Is there a problem with linux security certificates in general ????
FF says it's insecure because it expired in 08 and is self-signed. I'm not very knowledgeable on certificates, can anyone enlighten us and tell us this is normal because X and Y?
My life is this forum
Any browser will tell you it's insecure because it's a self signed cert. Real signed security certificates cost money. All you have to do is add an exception in your browser of choice for the page and the message goes away.

Can I assume that self signed certificates for FOSS sites are safe?
I read through about 20 different pages after doing a google search and wasn't able to really find a clear answer just alot of warnings about not using sites with bad certificates.
Thanks for clearing it up.
