no partioning options on ubiquity

OK so i downloaded backtrack 4, wanting to dual boot vista and bt4. i currently have no partion set up, so i presumed backtrack 4 would set it up so i could dual boot. how ever i was given no option for that.
do i need to set up a partion before hand?

If you do not have any partition now in your vista. Then you should again install vista and keep a drive for back track. and if you have extra partion such as D,E,F then you can install in any partition of these.

You can create new partitions using qtparted or gparted and then later on in ubuquity you choose where to install the swap space and root directory structure.
