b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error

Hi, I have Acer Laptop Aspire 5020, and it has wireless interface as Broadcom.

I am using BT4(pre) , When want to connect any network; dmesg says

b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error
b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error

could you tell me is it driver problem? Need update? Or any stable driver here?

I couldn't find fixing about this issue on google

Most broadcom chipset having problem with backtrack.perform this
lspci -nn
if you are getting these ID's

• PCI ID 14e4:4313
• PCI ID 14e4:4315
• PCI ID 14e4:4321
• PCI ID 14e4:4324
• PCI ID 14e4:4325
• PCI ID 14e4:4328
• PCI ID 14e4:4329
• PCI ID 14e4:432b

than this chipset is not supported by b43 drivers.you need broadcom linux_sta hybrid driver for that and only you can connect to wireless network using it.
try modprobe -r b43 and modprobe b43 and give it a try again

not in list. It would be work. Beacuse in last time I have fixed. But now I can't remember.

By the way, it is connecting but not usable. so slow. sometimes disconnect.

Any body knows that old Broadcom driver more stable with BT4???
