    I personally don't think this thread would be of any specific use, there has been threads about this type of card not working. Furthermore you have not provided sufficient details about the device. Information such as lspci output of the device, fcc id, any specific revision numbers, etc.

    Aboveall, I've been hearing Dell has been putting broadcrap (aka broadcom) wireless chipsets inside these cards and broadcom's support on linux has been very poor. I would never recommend broadcom and if I were you I'd get rid of the device, it'll be a waste of time and effort to get it to work.

    Eh.. Actually broadcom works.. Just not to its fullest potential.. It will connect to the internet but some will not inject/monitor mode.. And, if you upgrade to the new kernel which I just personally found out, it will not work at all
