Here's the deal...I've got BT4 up and running on its own drive with an RTL8185 nic that won't do injection. I have successfully been able to get into monitoring mode with airmon-ng but attempts to authenticate with aireplay always result in:

10:41:45 Sending Authentication Request (Open System)
Attack was unsuccessful. Possible reasons...

Here are the results of a -9 injection test:

10:42:26 Trying broadcast probe requests...
10:42:28 No Answer...
10:42:28 Found 5 APs
10:42:28 Trying directed probe requests...

And the probe requests produce nothing.

From my research it seems the 8185 is perfectly capable of injection but I just can't seem to get it to work regardless of which one of my APs I try, under what conditions or how many times I try. So far I have tried a 'make install' with a newer 8185 driver off Realtek's site but it didn't help. If fact it caused intermittent freezing issues so I rolled back with a 'make uninstall'. While there is an 8185 injection patch out there for earlier kernel versions (earlier than 2.6.29) in theory it is not supposed to be used as the latest version fully supports injection with the 8185. So...I'm stuck.

First time I've actually posted anything on here and any help would be most appreciated.
