    Hi
    You missed a "r" in :
    Code:
    patch -N -p 0 -i madwifi-ng-4073.patch
    replace with:
    Code:
    patch -N -p 0 -i madwifi-ng-r4073.patch
You must notice that you must first blacklist ath5k and ath9k modules before installing madwifi drivers. So you can do the following:
    Code:
    ifconfig ath0 down
    ifconfig wifi0 down
    modprobe -r ath5k
    modprobe -r ath9k
    cp -r /lib/modules/2.6.29.4/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/ath5k /root/
    cp -r /lib/modules/2.6.29.4/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/ath9k /root/
    rm -r /lib/modules/2.6.29.4/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/ath5k
    rm -r /lib/modules/2.6.29.4/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/ath9k

    svn -r 4073 checkout http://svn.madwifi-project.org/madwifi/trunk/ madwifi-ng
    wget http://patches.aircrack-ng.org/madwifi-ng-r4073.patch
    patch -N -p 0 -i madwifi-ng-r4073.patch
    cd madwifi-ng
    ./scripts/madwifi-unload
    make
    make install
    depmod -ae
    modprobe ath_pci

    Hi
In Aircrack-ng's page madwifi-ng [Aircrack-ng] I found some typos. You should run patch from home directory and not from madwifi-ng folder.Try previous post. It's corrected now.

    Default Thanks

Ok so it worked....I think....how do I connect to the internet? Is there a way I have to configure the wicd network manager or something because when I open it doesn't show any wireless networks.

you must start the network first ..go on Kmenu>Services>Network>Start Network or just type in terminal
    Code:
    start-network
    u can type after
    Code:
    ifconfig ath0 up
or whatever wireless is ex (wlan0,ath0,ath1,eth1,etc..)then try iwconfig to see the wireless networks
